PQWT PQ225A Groundwater Detector

Use groundwater reconnaissance to compare possible borehole locations before drilling. A recorded electrical contrast can have several explanations, including changes in rock, clay, salinity or moisture. Review the field evidence with local geological and nearby well records.

PQ225A is a groundwater survey model. If the task is finding a leak in a pressurized supply pipe, compare the PQ125 or L-series acoustic instruments instead.

Follow the manual for the supplied model and firmware. Keep the survey geometry and measurement settings consistent so that adjacent readings can be compared.

• Record target depth, terrain and nearby borehole information
• Plan line positions and mark measurement stations
• Check cables, electrode contact and potential interference
• Repeat questionable readings and collect a cross-line where practical
• Keep raw measurements, site notes and the map legend together

Start with the field workflow you need. PQ225A provides a portable profile-mapping option; M200 uses an Android phone or tablet; TC300 offers an integrated mapping workflow; GT300A belongs to the multi-channel range. Their setup, accessories and interpretation requirements differ.

The largest stated depth is not automatically the best choice. Send your intended drilling depth, ground conditions and operator experience so that the model recommendation addresses the actual project.
